First Time Booking a Male Stripper in Miami?
So it’s your best friend’s bachelorette or birthday, you’ve planned a girls’ trip to Miami, and you’ve been put in charge of booking the highlight of the weekend - the male stripper.
You’ve seen the Magic Mike movie. You’re excited. But if you’ve never hired a male stripper before, it’s totally normal to feel a little nervous. How does it work? Is it awkward? What actually happens?
You’re in the right place.
Hi, I’m Travis, your local Miami male stripper and private entertainer. I’ve been performing for women at private events across Miami and South Florida for over five years. After training at a local male revue, I realized private parties are way more fun than clubs - more personal, more relaxed, and way more memorable.
Below I answer the most common questions women ask before hiring a male stripper in Miami.
1. Should we go to a strip club or hire a private male stripper?
Strip clubs can be fun if you want a loud, crowded atmosphere with multiple dancers and bartenders. The downside is cost, competing for attention, and dancers who may be tired or sweaty after working all night.
A private male stripper experience gives you full control. You choose the dancer, the music, the vibe, and the timing. The performer arrives fresh, clean, and focused entirely on your group. Most birthday and bachelorette parties prefer private shows because they’re more comfortable and less awkward.
2. Should I book through an agency or directly with the dancer?
Agencies allow you to browse multiple dancers, but they usually charge more and often substitute dancers last-minute. This can lead to disappointing “catfish” situations.
Booking directly means you know exactly who is showing up. Many clients appreciate being able to communicate with me directly, which builds comfort and trust before such a personal type of entertainment.
3. How much does a private male stripper in Miami cost?
My rate is:
• $150 per hour
• $50 non-refundable deposit to reserve your date
• Tips appreciated
• Travel surcharge may apply outside Miami
Booking directly avoids agency markups and surprise fees.
4. How much should we tip a male stripper?
Most private parties tip between $50 and $100 per hour. Some groups enjoy tipping throughout the show with cash, while others prefer Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal afterward. Tips are always optional but appreciated. I can bring singles for your group if you let me know in advance!
5. How do we book a Miami male stripper?
Booking is simple. Just let me know the date, time, location, and type of party (bachelorette, birthday, etc.) and I’ll get back to you ASAP. Once details are confirmed, a $50 deposit secures your reservation.
6. What outfits can the male stripper wear?
Popular costumes include cop, cowboy, firefighter, doctor, and ship captain. If you have something specific in mind, just ask — I’m happy to accommodate when possible.
7. Where should we host a private male strip show?
The best locations are private, indoor spaces such as hotel rooms, Airbnbs, or private homes. Backyards and outdoor spaces can cause privacy issues and make the dancer sweat more in the Florida heat.
Party buses are fun but cramped. Yacht shows work best if there is a private cabin with enough space for dancing.
8. How should we set up the performance space?
Ideally, you’ll have at least a 7x7 foot open area with seating around it. Smooth floors like tile or wood work best for floor work style dancing. If there’s an area rug, removing it helps. But I can adjust to any performance space.
Dim lighting or party lights can really set the mood.
9. When is the best time to schedule the show?
Some groups book the show early as a fun kickoff, or pre-game to the night’s celebrations, while others save it for the grand finale. If you’re going out afterward, allow at least 30 minutes to regroup after the show. Avoid booking right before dinner when people may be hungry (or give them some snacks before the stripper arrives). Try to avoid scheduling any food deliveries during the show, since that can interrupt the flow of the evening.
10. Who should I invite?
Invite ladies who will enjoy this type of entertainment. If you have friends who are on the fence, let them know it is OK if they hang out in the back of the room, the dancer won’t interact with them unless they indicate it is OK.
You may or may not want to invite moms, aunts, and family members of the groom.
No guys. One or two gay best friends may attend with advance notice, but they will be watching only.
11. What should we wear?
Soft, comfortable clothing is best. Avoid sequins and jeans, which can scratch the dancer or restrict movement. Bikinis and nightgowns are popular choices.
12. How does the show start?
I coordinate everything with you by text. I’ll let you know when I’m on the way and when I arrive. Once everyone is ready, I make my entrance and the show begins. I bring a folding chair for lapdances and a Bluetooth speaker with music.
13. Can we take photos or videos?
Photos and videos are fine. I request that no clear face photos or videos be posted publicly for privacy reasons. Please send me any photos or videos you would like to post for my approval first.
14. How far does the performance go?
Every show is guided by communication and consent. I pay close attention to the group’s comfort level and adjust the performance accordingly. If you want more or less, just say so.
It IS legal to touch a male stripper in Florida (as long as the dancer consents). The dancer will go fully nude, but only if the group asks him too. 😉
